Aztec Labs acquires ZKPassport maker Obsidion as age verification pressure mounts

Blockchain privacy company Aztec Labs Ltd. announced that it has acquired Obsidion Labs Ltd., the British startup behind zero-knowledge identity protocol ZKPassport. The deal comes as governments in the U.K., Australia and parts of the U.S. move to force online platforms to verify user ages without giving them a workable way to do it. Terms were not disclosed. Five months after it was founded and with just five employees, Israeli startup Genie Security has been acquired for an estimated $50 million, Calcalist has learned. The buyer is cybersecurity company Cyera, which was valued at $9 billion in its latest funding round and is in the midst of an aggressive acquisition spree that has already included five companies. Genie Security, which until now operated largely under the radar, develops endpoint-based data protection technology. KPIT Tech to acquire Israeli auto cybersecurity firm Cymotive for up to $120M

India-based mobility solutions company KPIT Technologies said it will acquire a 100 percent stake in Israel-based automotive cybersecurity firm Cymotive Technologies for a total consideration of up to $120 million USD (about ₹1,138 crore). The acquisition will be executed in multiple tranches, starting with an initial investment of $10 million in preference capital, which is expected to be closed by mid-Jun. 2026, the company said in a regulatory filing. This initial investment will convert into a 26 percent equity stake based on the achievement of certain performance milestones within eight quarters. Cisco To Acquire Astrix To Boost Identity Security For AI Agents

Cisco Systems announced it has reached an agreement to acquire identity protection startup Astrix Security, in a bid to bolster the tech giant’s offerings for securing AI agents. Palo Alto Networks announced Apr.30 it has reached a deal to acquire Portkey, a startup offering an “AI gateway” for management and protection of autonomous agents. Terms of the acquisition—which is expected to close during the vendor’s fourth fiscal quarter, ending Jul. 31—were not disclosed. Irish cybersecurity company Integrity360 acquires South Africa’s Redshift to continue regional growth

Irish cybersecurity company Integrity360 has acquired South Africa-based Redshift, marking its third acquisition in the region since 2024. The latest purchase brings the company’s South African headcount to more than 230 employees. Redshift is a 2015-founded cybersecurity services company based in Johannesburg. Veeam to acquire Securiti for $1.7B+ to accelerate safe AI at scale
